About us...

Eric's working  background is largely industrial, but  before his retirement in 2005, he’d spent 15 enjoyable years working alongside adults with learning difficulties at a major Worcester Centre operated by Social Services. Eileen, his wife, was the Assistant Director of 6th Form at a Worcestershire school.

Married in 1983, both have extensive folk song/club experience and have written, directed and performed a number of folk plays performed by the respected Somers Traditional Folk Club of which Eric is a founder member.

The couple began a new Folk Club  at 'The Fold 'at Bransford in  Autumn 2009 - see 'Folk at the Fold' page for details.

Jointly, we write, perform, record, mix and produce our CD’s with all associate cover artwork to keep CD production costs to a bare minimum and thereby achieve more financial support for our chosen charity fund.

We make CD recordings of songs written by Eric in both traditional and contemporary veins – sometimes accompanied, sometimes not, and mostly in harmony. Our CD’s are sold to benefit charitable organisations, both the local ‘Acorns’ Childrens Hospice and the Farm-Africa Project have been beneficiaries and, our latest CD ‘Farewell The Day’, is being sold in aid of the Chernobyl Childrens Life Line.

The recordings are made at our home on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border in an upstairs bedroom using a Yamaha 16 track digital recording machine, the result of a National Lottery Grant in 2005 to Worcestershire Folk-life West who own the equipment that Eric also uses to record other local performers.
